Phoenix Airport

Many travelers headed to The Grand Canyon National Park elect to fly into the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) located 220 miles from the South Rim. For those who would like to fly closer to the canyon, America West Express has daily jet service connecting Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Flagstaff Pulliam Airport approximately eighty miles from the Park.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is the Phoenix Metropolitan area's only commercial airport. PHX is served by 23 major air carriers, several commuter and cargo carriers, and is home to the 161st Air Refueling Group of the Arizona Air National Guard. PHX is owned by and managed by the City of Phoenix.

PHX is a busy place. It is Arizona's main international airport and one of the largest aviation facilities in the American Southwest. This is the hub for travel to various vacation destinations in the Southwest; chief among these is The Grand Canyon National Park.
