Flagstaff Airport
Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG) is a public airport located four miles south of Flagstaff, Arizona. Primarily used for private, general aviation, the Flagstaff Airport is also served by one commercial airline. The US Airway Express operates an air flight shuttle service between Flagstaff and Phoenix.
The Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG) is currently undergoing changes that may encourage addition commercial airlines to begin service to the area. A runway lengthening project is underway that will improve service for the many private planes and corporate jets who now use the airport. It is anticipated that this current construction project will be completed in December of 2007.
The airport is owned and managed by the City of Flagstaff. There are private and rental hangers available, as well as typical aviation services provided by the fixed base operator, Wiseman Aviation. As a private airport with limited commercial service, Flagstaff is one of the busier airports in the Southwest. With its close proximity to such scenic locations as The Grand Canyon, many private planes and corporate jets make the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport their destination.
Today, only one commercial airline provides service in to and out of Flagstaff. The US Airway Express provides daily air flight shuttle service between Phoenix and Flagstaff.
