True that unlike other parks, you cannot jump around here in Slide Rock, but here in this beautiful canyon you have the bounty of beautiful nature all around you. But there is still a natural water slide that is simply fantastic – this slide has been formed from the Oak Creek and its slippery bed. And this is how the state park gets it name.
Though overnight camping is not allowed at Slide Rock, but the park has become very popular among hikers who want to explore the surrounding natural beauty and also among picnickers who throng the area. And thus it can become crowded at times. So it might be a good idea to pick the off season as the time to visit the Slide Rock State Park.
