Red Rock State Park

In one word, the Red Rock State Park is 'fantastic'. You have got to come to this amazing park in Arizona to view the spectacular red rock cliff formations that attract tourists from near and far. There are Nature History Guides and Self-Guided Interpretive Trails that you can opt for when you are visiting the Red Rock.

The Red Rock State Park was initially inside the Smoke Trail Ranch and was a private property of Helen and Jack Frye, but in the year 1991 it was opened to the public as a separate park. This state park in Arizona is best known for the spectacular red rock formations that can be dated back to the Mesozoic era, when dinosaurs used to roam the Earth. So when you are at the park, you are actually walking the same terrain that the dinosaurs used to call home.

There is a 5-mile trail that takes you along the famous Oak Creek where you can see the various rock formations this park has to offer. Go on the Guided Nature Walks that start at 10 in the morning and last for 90 minutes. There are also Bird Walks, Moonlight Hikes and Eagle's Nest Guided Hikes that you can opt for.

The Red Rock State Park is also where you will come across the ruins and relics of the Anasazi people. Also visit the Red Rock Museum to view the exhibits of the Navajo, Hopi and the Zuni to learn in detail about the unique Native American culture and way of life.

Spread over 640 acres, the park also offers a splendid opportunity to explore the region and watch wildlife.
