The Sedona International Film Festival is a favorite among independent filmmakers. From the filmmakers, to the sponsors, to the volunteers, to the donors, to the audience members and finally, the community of Sedona – all come together to promote independent film.

It is not uncommon to do a little "star gazing" during the Film Festival. Some of the individuals who have been guests at the festival over the years include Ed Asner, Rick Schroder, Andrew McCarthy, Donald O'Connor, Ann Miller, Sean Young, Dean Stockwell, Linda Gray, Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Diane Ladd, Amanda Plummer, Wendy Malick, Scott Baio and Jena Malone.

The primary feature of any film festival is its ability to join together industry professionals and people who enjoy movies. The Sedona International Film Festival strives to bring the best in narrative features, documentaries, short subjects, animation and foreign language films in all categories to its independent audience. It also provides a rich educational opportunity to filmmakers, students and the general public alike through its unique annual educational workshop.
