Nestled within the world-renowned red rocks of Sedona, Red Rock Fantasy is a festival of more than a million lights providing a man-made marvel within the scenic beauty that has drawn visitors for the past one hundred years.
The lights in Sedona outshine the stars in the sky during the Red Rock Festival. Originally, a simple light show that was hosted by the Los Abrigados Resort, the event has grown to a major attraction composed of over one million lights and made up of individual displays built by organizations and individual families.
The Red Rock Fantasy brightens everyone's holiday season with brightly lit holiday displays. Lights on generally occurs mid-November and the displays stay lit until the first of January. Visitors pay a small fee and receive information on the over thirty displays. All proceeds are donated to local charities. The festival is open each evening (weather permitting) from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
Each year, the Red Rock Fantasy expands hosting a variety of kids' activities, concerts, carriage rides, and special events. Each visitor is given a ballot to vote for their favorite display and that particular display receives the "People's Choice Award". Come to Sedona, Arizona and enjoy lighted displays of all types of scenes of the holidays, from cartoons to old west themes, there is something for everyone.
