Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary

The Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary, once called the Heritage Park Zoo, is located in Prescott, Arizona. It is a large conservation area that offers protection to both exotic and native animals. It main focus to educate people about wildlife in a close-up environment that they may never get the chance to do anywhere else.

Animals and other exotic wildlife abound in Prescott's (Arizona) Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary, a big protection area for some interesting creatures. Its main mission is to teach conservation through the use of education, and nowhere else can visitors find it so endearing.

The sanctuary has varied rescued creatures, both local and exotic, which are lovingly displayed to the general public in natural homes, versus the traditional zoo like environment. Visitors are encouraged to interact as much as is safe to do so with these bundles of joy. Children especially enjoy this part when tour guides help them reach out to the sick and injured, as well as sharing a funny face or two with some of the sanctuary's more sociable animals.

The center is open year round, from 9am to 5pm daily. Admission is free to members, but adults pay $8 (13 and over) and children pay only $5 (3 to 12 years old). Special events take place throughout the year, but the most popular include the Natural Wolf Awareness Day and the Zoofari. The awareness one educates young and old about the lives of wolves and the need to preserve their habitats. The other is an exciting day filled with details about the place's many creatures and the natural habitats that they originate from.
