Golf Courses //
Formerly known as the Elden Hills Golf Course, the Continental Country Club, rates as one of Flagstaff, Arizona's most affordable courses. And unlike most others in the area, Continental's level and relatively short fairways (6,029 yards) allow for easy walking.
The Continental Country Club's short layout allows beginners to experience golfing's magic and scratch golfers to focus on personal best scores. Despite the course's short yardage, however, you will be penalized if you can't keep your tee shots straight: water hazards lurk on four of the first nine holes, and the fairways are tight.
Because of Flagstaff's high elevation (almost 7,000 feet) the course does not suffer from the same heat that cripples Phoenix in the summer. On average summer temperatures are almost 20 degrees cooler.
The course is open year-round, weather permitting. An onsite driving range allows is available. Call (928) 527-7997 for a tee time.
From Interstate 40 take Exit 201 and turn right on Country Club Drive. Follow for about a mile until you see the club on your right.
