Golf Courses //
Antelope Hills in Prescott, Arizona is one of the few golf courses in the state immune to summer's wrath. Located at 5,000 feet it averages 15 to 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix, allowing you to focus on your golfing game rather than your melting club grips.
Antelope Hills offers 36 holes, giving you the option of playing its traditional north course (opened in 1956) or its links-style south course (opened in 1992). Alleys of mature trees line every fairway on the north course, making it imperative you keep your tee shots straight. Its bentgrass greens are true but lightning quick. The south course is a classic links-style desert course with wide, treeless fairways, and massive, undulating greens. Unless you're green literate, three putting is a common wince on the south course.
Both courses are open everyday of the year, except Christmas. Tee times can be reserved up to seven days in advance by calling either (928) 776-7888 or (800) 972-6818. No tank tops or cutoffs are allowed. Golf club rentals and lessons are available. The driving range features natural grass, perfect for fine-tuning your iron shots.
