Getting Here

The Grand Canyon nearly dissects the northwest corner of Arizona from the remainder of the State. Due to its immense size – both depth and width – traveling from one rim to the other – north to south or vice versus – is a long trip. The approximate driving distances between the two developed portions of the Grand Canyon is 212 miles. The closest regional airport to the Canyon is located in Flagstaff, Arizona – 80 miles southeast of the Park. Other major airports are found in Las Vegas and Phoenix. For those who are traveling from a great distance away, flying into one of these airports is probably the best option and then renting a car to complete the journey. Whether you drive the entire distance or elect to fly part way, the final leg of the journey is filled with scenic wonder and unique landscape. When you arrive and take your first look over the edge, you will realize that not only the journey but also the destination was definitely worth the trip!
