If you really want to immerse yourself in the local environment of The Grand Canyon, you can take advantage of the various campgrounds in the Park. For the avid tent camper or car camper, showers and laundry facilities are available. Other showers and laundry facilities can be found in the nearby towns.

Inside The Grand Canyon National Park, you can find coin-operated shower and laundry facilities next to Mather Campground near the South Rim. They are open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the summer, while hours vary in the winter. Showers and laundry facilities near the North Rim are located near the North Rim Campground. As the North Rim is open seasonally, it is best to call ahead to find out the current hours.

Public and private campgrounds in the nearby towns also allow visitors to use their shower facilities. For a small fee, backpackers, hikers, and even mountain bikers can treat themselves to the convenience and rejuvenating benefits of a hot shower. In addition to the various privately owned campgrounds in the area, some locally owned businesses including local hostels, and swim centers are sources for showers. You can find several coin-operated laundromats in the local towns and at the various campgrounds.
