Arizona Snowbowl

Conveniently located just minutes from Flagstaff and only 70 miles from the Grand Canyon, the Arizona Snowbowl provides the best - and only - world-class skiing in the majestic San Francisco Peaks. At 11,500 feet in elevation, the Arizona Snowbowl looks out over the picturesque valley - including the vast acreage of Kachina Peaks Wilderness and Coconino National Forest.

SKI THE PEAKS

With an average 260 inches of snow accumulation each year and beautiful Arizona vistas at their feet, the San Francisco Peaks create the perfect landscape for an action-packed day on the slopes. Arizona Snowbowl's impressive 2,300 foot vertical drop boasts 4 lifts, 32 trails, 95 percent of which are outfitted with snowmaking equipment, and superb backcountry access. With over 77 acres dedicated to skiing and snowboarding, the Snowbowl provides endless entertainment for all ages and levels of ability. 80 percent of the mountain is dedicated to beginners and intermediate level skiers, but backcountry access to the Upper Bowl and the adjacent Kachina Peaks Wilderness provides plenty of opportunities for expert skiers as well. The Arizona Skibowl also advertises planned upgrades, including two new high-speed detachable quad chairs, a half pipe, and an expansion involving 55 new acres of intermediate terrain. This family-oriented ski area is bound to impress!

SNOWBOWL IN SUMMER

Open all year round, the Arizona Snowbowl offers just as much adventuresome activities in summer as it does when the snow falls. A Scenic Skyride to 11,500 feet in elevation gives new meaning to sightseeing—aspen groves and abundant wildflower growth accent the red rock beauty of the surrounding valley. Hiking into the Kachina Peak Wilderness and a round of disc golf complete the experience-- summertime at the Snowbowl is certainly not to be missed!
